The world has undergone major transformations, among which the following stand
out: the institutionalization of popular participation and deliberation mechanisms,
which go far beyond periodic voting, and the exponential advancement of technology.
Thus, modern democracies, including the Brazilian one, inspired by successful
experiences such as those in Iceland and Estonia, have made great efforts to keep
up with the virtual trend, starting to establish important instruments for online
participation and deliberation. In this context, the Crowdlaw phenomenon gains
prominence, which acts with the aim of strengthening the relationship between
representatives and represented, thus improving the young Brazilian democracy.
